For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. John: 3, 16-17

So you've taken this computer journey and stumbled onto our site.

You've come to the home page of a small congregation of earnest and friendly Christians located in one of the near west suburbs of Chicago: Villa Park, Illinois. We are an active congregation of individuals with a diversity of backgrounds brought together by our common concern for the life in Christ, which we share and experience together in our fellowship.

The phrase "family of faith" seems an apt description for our fellowship. We enjoy one another's company and you'll find many of us simply being together--lingering over coffee after church. We work together, we share our talents, and we make sure that humor is no stranger in our midst. We pray for, listen to, and support one another. And we strive to make concern for one another into  concern for others through mission.

The Bible is important to us. It is important because of the way in which it leads us to the Living Christ. And so we study it, use it a lot in worship, and attempt to understand its various perspectives as a guide.

When we worship, we like music. We are blessed by talented musicians in our fellowship. The form of our worship experience makes use of readings, silent and pastoral prayer, singing, choral anthems, vocal and instrumental solos, litanies, and preaching in a traditional but friendly setting.

Perhaps you're searching for a church fellowship--a family of faith. If you're in the area, stop by and say hello.  Give us a call (630-279-5249). Or join us on a Sunday--10:00 during the summer, or during "school" months our worship service is at 10:45 a.m. and our Sunday School (classes for all ages) begins at 9:30.

Permit us to close with the words of an anonymous Christian writer from an earlier time:

Come, thou almighty King,
Help us thy name to sing,
Help us to praise:
Father all glorious,
O'er all victorious,
Come, and reign over us,
Ancient of Days!
